Project Location: Barnett Road and Riverside Avenue, Medford, Oregon

This Walgreens was designed to sit on a very tight sight on a prominent corner in Medford. The location for this store was a redeveloped site formerly occupied by a small aging strip center. This building features upgraded exterior materials, including brick with stone accent. As with all Walgreens sites, accessibility is a big corporate concern, so much effort was given to insuring that applicable accessibility regulations were documents as being met.

Subsequent to this project Oregon Architecture has been involved in the development and design of other Walgreens stores in multiple states.

This project was completed in 2008.

Project Location: The intersection of Oregon Highway 20 and US101, Newport, Oregon

This Walgreens is to be constructed on the most prominent corner in the city of Newport, at the juncture where Highway 20 from Corvallis meets up with the Pacific Coast Highway. This site effectively serves as the gateway to downtown Newport, which has a protected Art Deco Historic Area. In working with the City on the exterior of the building, Oregon Architecture was able to convince Walgreens of the value in having their building serve as the gateway to the Newport Art Deco District. We designed the building with Deco features, such as the stucco pilasters with tri-foil detailing and suspended metal canopies over the openings.
This project is currently under construction and is scheduled to be completed in Spring 2013.
