What’s cool about this project:
- THE EXISTING building, which includes a sanctuary, an office wing, a school wing, a chapel and a Fellowship Hall is an iconic structure in Medford.
- THE FELLOWSHIP Hall, the Kitchen and the attached restrooms had not been updated since the building was constructed and needed some serious upgrades.
- THE FELLOWSHIP Hall no longer accommodated the outreach mission of the congregation.
- THE BUILDING was constructed in the 1960s and didn’t have a lot of extra room in the restroom area, as was common practice at the time the building was designed.
- WITH A CAREFUL reallocation of space we were able to create restrooms meeting current accessibility requirements without reducing the fixture count, and still upgrade the finishes.
- AT THE SAME time we reconfigured the kitchen space for better flow and to accommodate newer, larger service equipment.
- WE ALSO reworked the existing stage area, no longer used, into a multi-level storage area for the Food Pantry.
