What’s cool about this project:

  • THE 60,000 sq. ft. structure had been built as a pear packing and storage facility in 1950.
  • IN 1983 IT was purchased and converted into an appliance and furniture store. In 2016 the building was taken over by the congregation.
  • IN THE DAYS when the building was a furniture store, the owner added a mezzanine and installed some energy efficiency improvements.
  • SINCE THE Fellowship is a change of use, we worked with the City Building Official to upgrade the structure to meet current Seismic Codes.
  • WE WORKED with the Fellowship’s leadership to develop a phased program for the improvements that reflected their fundraising capabilities.
