A Little About Me

I am passionate about how the built environment and the learning environment overlap.

Experience:

Mr. Wilson joined OAI in 2021. After graduation Mr. Wilson worked in New York State with a focus on renovation projects in educational, institutional, and public buildings. In the public arena he has worked on projects with small to multimillion dollar budgets. He understands the nuances between maintenance budgets and capital improvement funding and the different requirements each can require for project compliance.

Mr. Wilson has experience working with project teams during the construction administration phase to keep projects on time and on budget, thereby saving institutional clients money that could be re-purposed for future projects.

College of Lake County, Grayslake IL. Associates in Science with concentration in Architecture – 2010
New School of Architecture and Design, San Diego CA. Bachelor of Architecture – 2015

Active Service:

US Coast Guard 2001-2006, serving in both the Caribbean and Pacific
Oceans assisting in search and rescue and drug interdiction operations. Achieved the rank of Electrician’s Mate, Third Class

Active Registrations:

Currently working toward Architect registration

Interests:

Baseball, fishing, hiking, traveling, drone pilot, designing and building outdoor furniture.

Representative Projects:

Master Plan for the Pine Mountain Mill Property, Yreka, CA
Redevelopment of a 40AC parcel, formerly the site of a lumber mill. Site is planned for a multi-phased development to include restaurants, motels, housing and smaller retail uses.

Dove Place Duplexes, Rogue River, OR
Low density housing on contiguous lots in a newer development.

Clarkstown Central School District, Clarkstown, NY

Full roof replacement of 16 school buildings. Project was phased over 3 summers, with construction limited from July to September. The project involved structural
reinforcement, asbestos abatement, addition of roof drains and the design and detailing of increased roof insulation to meet current energy efficiency standards.

A new music classroom wing addition at the middle school. The project also involved creating a secure vestibule and security office for credential verification.
